FEATURED ON SMP: Elyse + Michael | Blush Greenwich Country Club Wedding

Uncategorized

I am SO excited to finally share Elyse + Michael’s gorgeous Greenwich Yacht Club Wedding, recently featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty!

The most important thing to say is how much I loved working with Elyse! I get close with my clients because we are working on lots of details, from start to finish. I think Elyse and I emailed each other at least 5 times every week, and we were a dynamic duo! The best client is the one who knows her vision, is on the ball, but trusts me to execute their vision. Elyse was that to a “T”. She told me afterwards I was her favorite vendor to work with, and hearing that is exactly why I do what I do. I love design, but as a business of one working with clients who are creative + lovely and see the value of working with me are what keeps me coming back every season!

Their classic + elegant blush wedding style began with their rehearsal dinner at The Delamar Hotel. For the invite, we printed on blush handmade paper, with amazing texture + perfectly imperfect edges. We printed the menus on the same stock, and designed corresponding signage, seating chart + place cards. It was the perfect design to complement the French Riviera style of the hotel space.

Next it was on to the wedding! Their wedding invitation was printed on luxuriously thick white cotton stock and every card was done in gold foil. Foil is a great way to add a element of design + dimension when using a simpler invitation design. Another way is through plus-ups, which are my favorite thing to do with invitations, and Elyse + Michael’s were chock full of them: a custom crest tag tied with hand-dyed blush ribbon, a metallic envelope liner, and an oval wax seal with their monogram. The cherry on top was their vintage postage story. We carefully curated stamps that reflected their color palette and some of their favorite cities. Guests knew right from the start how much love + thought was put into their suite.

Their custom suite was a hard act to follow, but we had lots of beautiful paper details at the reception. An acrylic wedding sign, gold foil menus, and escort cards adorned with gold leaf wax seals were my favorite elements. We really focused on the gold to balance out all the soft blush details on the table and throughout the ballroom.
